Feeling the holiday rush? Don't let the stock market's schedule throw you off! The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Nasdaq have confirmed their trading hours for the upcoming holidays. Here's what you need to know to stay ahead of the game.
On December 24th, the NYSE and Nasdaq will stick to their previously announced plan of closing early, at 1 p.m. in New York, ahead of the Christmas holiday. This means you'll have a shorter trading day to wrap up your financial activities before the festivities begin.
And what about December 26th? You're in luck! It will be a regular full trading day.
This decision comes after President Donald Trump's executive order to close the federal government on those days. But here's where it gets interesting: the stock exchanges have decided to maintain their pre-existing schedules.
This means investors can plan their trading activities accordingly, knowing that the market will operate as usual, with a slight adjustment for Christmas Eve.
